The Wonderfeet Kids Museum Board of Directors is seeking an individual with a passion for children, families and learning, to launch our newly expanded museum into a future with expanded growth and opportunity for our community. The Executive Director (ED) plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of the Wonderfeet Kids Museum and is responsible for guiding the daily operations of the museum and working with the board of directors to ensure consistency with our mission, values, and goals.

The ED will be expected to lead a dynamic team, oversee strategic planning, and champion a mission to foster curiosity and exploration, inspire creativity, and ignite the imagination of every child through play. The ED will need to fully understand the museum's operations from the bottom up, often working the museum floor, programming, managing the resolution of operational issues at all levels, including filling staffing gaps.

The ED is expected to promote the museum through community outreach acting as a resource and extending our goals of collaborating with community members to build a more vibrant future for our children and families. The ED is responsible for all aspects of fundraising, including Board of Directors in campaign efforts, researching and submitting grants, and creating beneficial partnerships with organizations and individuals that will symbiotically assist in the growth of the WKM and to grow the museum in the future. This role truly involves inspirational leadership in attracting, engaging, training, retaining, empowering, and supporting Wonderfeet’s staff, board, and volunteers while creating a positive, safe and inclusive working environment.

Operations & Technology Coordinator

Reports to: Executive Director

Employment Classification: 25-31 Hours

Schedule: Tuesday-Friday and a floating Weekend Day Required, Some Nights, and Special Events

The Facility Operations and Technology Coordinator oversees the smooth, daily operation of the Museum including  facility maintenance, technology and implementation of policies and procedures, and assists the Museum Director and other Coordinators. They manage the check in process and  support an exemplary visitor experience. The Operations Coordinator supports the Museum Director in fulfilment of the mission, values, and vision of the Museum.

All Coordinators report directly to the Executive Director. ED and all Coordinators share Manager on Duty shifts to cover opening hours when there is not another Shift Supervisor scheduled. Manager on Duty (MOD) may work their shift from the Front Desk or the Jr Mint office. While they are welcome to do other administrative tasks, the Manager on Duty should be readily available for guest or staff questions. 

Both the Manager on Duty and/or the Shift Supervisor are responsible for making sure staff have assignments and are taking their required breaks in a timely manner. MOD or Shift Supervisor should also actively coach and mentor staff as needed. If a Supervisor or Staff member requires further coaching, corrective action, or additional training - that should be handled by the Guest Services Coordinator at a later date or time after discussing the situation with the relevant MOD or Shift Supervisor. 

All Coordinators in the building will be expected to perform any Guest Services functions and/or cleaning duties.

Employment Classification: Up to 24 Hours

Schedule: Weekends, After School, Summer Shifts and Special Events

The Visitor Experience Associate (Floor Staff) is responsible for maintaining a positive, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all museum visitors, ensuring a safe learning environment, creating joyful experiences, and sparking curiosity, imagination, and creativity. This role is crucial for the smooth daily operation of the Museum, including exhibit staffing, facility cleanliness, safety maintenance, and support for educational programs and events.
